Lantern FM Public File
Radio stations in the UK are regulated by law. The regulator is Ofcom, which awards licences and regulates content in accordance with the Broadcast Code. You can view Ofcom licence details by visiting their website.

North Devon's Lantern FM works to operate within all of the conditions of its licence and the Code and welcomes comments about its output from listeners and advertisers.

Operational
Lantern FM broadcasts to North Devon including Barnstaple, Bideford, Holsworthy, Torrington, South Molton and all those places in between on 96.2FM and on 97.3 in Ilfracombe.

News

News Bulletin schedule - details of when bulletins appear on Lantern Fm
Lantern FM broadcasts news bulletins on the hour between 0600 and 1800 on weekdays. These bulletins are live and contain a full mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport and weather. At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on Lantern FM between 0700 and 1300 on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional national bulletins are broadcast on the hour at all other times, seven days a week.
During breakfast hours (Mon - Fri 0600 - 0900) we also broadcast news headlines at half past the hour.

Programme Automation
Non Stop Lunch show (Mon - Fri 1pm - 2pm) is the only automated programme on Lantern FM during weekday or weekend daytimes.

Local Programming (The amount of local programming per day produced by the station)

On weekdays, Lantern FM's breakfast show (6 - 10am), Non Stop Lunch (1pm - 2pm) and Drivetime show (2 -7pm), are produced locally at Lantern FM's Studio's in Barnstaple.

The rest of the daily output is broadcast across “The One Network” from  various locations outside North Devon.

Events / Charities support
Lantern FM supports all local charities whenever possible. We take pride in helping to publicise and encourage local fundraising for local charities. Charities that we have recently supported include the North Devon Hospice, Children's Hospice South West, Local Lions and Rotary Clubs, Women's Refuge, various local schools to name but a few.
We also broadcast a local What's On Diary every day, which provides free publicity to charitable or non profit-making local events and organisations.
